It is my pleasure and honor to extend greetings on behalf of the National United Church Ushers Association of America, Incorporated as the 22nd National Young Adult elected President. I thank each and every one of you for trusting in me and allowing me to lead and represent you during my term. I pray God will guide me and give me the strength to be the Best that I can be in your eyes and the Master on this life’s Journey.
I am grateful to God for allowing us to have a successful 92nd Annual convention held in Reno Sparks, NV. I pray that everyone enjoyed their visit to the Western Region. A special thanks to all participants in the Birthday Calendar Contest and Congratulations to New York State for taking first place, District of Columbia for placing second and Colorado for placing 3rd. I also want to extend Congratulations to all Elected and Appointed offices for the year 2011-2012; with God’s Grace he will lead you on the right path to serve his people.
In choosing my theme, my first goal is Teamwork! Teamwork is the collective effort of a group of persons who work efficiently to accomplish and set a goal. Also:
Maintain a stronger bond within my Department by working together on all activities
Build a stronger bond with the Junior and Young People department for all Juniors crossing the bridge
I’d like to establish a group activity for the Juniors crossing over to spend time with the Young Adults
Keep the lines of communication open either through email, text, conference calls and social networking sites
Re-evaluate the Agenda to allow more time for outings and free time to visit the selected city for the National
Teamwork is more than working together, Teamwork involves a unified group focusing mainly on the task at hand and getting that task done efficiently.
Ushers, if we remain Faithful working together as a team we will accomplish the goals that have been set before us.
