On behalf of the Junior and Young Peoples' Department, I would like to extend greetings to all my Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
I am pleased to announce that the Junior and Young Peoples' Department had another year of success at our 90th National Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With the upcoming 2010 convention being our 70th Anniversary, we plan to have many great things in store.
Throughout the year it has been noted that we have made much progress in achieving our goals from last year, however there is still much work to be done.
For the 2009 - 2010 year the goals for our department are as follows:
~ Encourage unity amongst the Regions
~ Promote effective leadership of Officers and Delegates
~ Reiterate the foundational values of the N.U.C.U.A.A. Convention
~ Increase Delegation attendance and participation
~ Encourage more independence for our department
To the Junior and Young Peoples' Department, I want to thank you for a year full of hard work. Although it has been challenging, the outcome was rewarding and I look forward to seeing each of you at our 91st National Convention in Saint Louis, Missouri, where we will be celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Junior and Young Peoples' Department.
As the year begins, I will continue to follow God and work with the Junior and Young Peoples' Department to build upon the foundation that was put in place seventy years ago...
Alexander Fawra, Jr., National President
