| I greet you in the precious name of our crucified and risen savior Jesus the Christ!
This Thanksgiving, may your homes be filled with the Lord’s loving presence abounding in the fullness of His joy and the gift of His peace as you reflect upon the blessings He has bestowed upon you.
On behalf of the Junior and Young People’s Department I extend holiday greetings from our home directly to yours. Thanksgiving not only provides us the opportunity to eat plentiful, but to reflect on the goodness of God and devote time to Him which all blessings flow.
The Thanksgiving holiday is an exciting time for the Junior Department. It is that one time a year on the fourth Thursday of November that offers us relief from our school obligations and a moment to seriously meditate on the love of God. Even in the current state of the world, God continues to move powerfully throughout our body of young people. It is evident even in the beginning years of our walk with Christ we have so much to praise God for. Each occasion that we are able to receive a second chance is one to be grateful for. As we ask the Lord to order our steps so that we may walk as one body with Him, it is my prayer that plenty of love, affection and cheer are delivered to the doorsteps of our family, friends and loved ones.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” —Philippians 4:6
