Willie J. Minnifield was the fourteen National President who served from 1993 - 1996. President Minnifield, from the Peach State of Georgia, is the co-founder of the Interdenominational Church Ushers of Georgia Association, Inc. He was elected the first State President.  President Minnifield started his journey by being  elected to the National Board of Directors in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1982.

His creative and innovative administration achieved many noteworthly accomplishments, among which was the founding of the Training and Development Institute in 1993.  The primary mission of the Training and Development Institute is to provide educational training and development opportunities for the members of the National United Church Ushers Association of America, Inc. from a Christian perspective, in order to promote and enhance their spiritual growth and development. The Training and Development Institute brought forth a whole new dimension and continues to receive outstanding evaluations from those who attend.

Our three general objectives are:
  * To provide the membership with training that will enhance individual spiritual
     growth and development.
  * To enchance the development of the organization by training officers and
committee chairs as spiritual leaders, and
  * To provide assistance and continuous growth to the Department of Ushering.

The Willie J. Minnifield Training and Development Institute is named in honor of one of our most progressive leaders, Past National President Willie J. Minnifield.
